Be Patient

Most transfers take 5-7 days to complete. Sit tight and your domain will be transferred in no time!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a domain transfer?

When you transfer your domain, it means that Big Red Jelly will automatically be able to keep your website safe and up to date. We can monitor your website and ensure that your site is always up and running. If you own multiple domains, having one centralized provider will help keep things simple.

If I am already registered on a different service, can I switch over to Big Red Jelly?

Yes! Transferring your domain to us is a very easy process. Enter your domain up above where it asks for a domain name and we can begin the process of transferring the domain.

To prepare your domain name for transfer, you’ll need to complete a few steps with your current registrar.

  1. Unlock the domain name with your current registrar.
  2. Get an authorization code (also known as an EPP code or transfer key) from your current registrar.
  3. Verify contact information on your domain name. The administrator’s contact information may be used by your current registrar during the transfer process.

Once you’ve prepared your domain name, you can finish the process through GoDaddy.

Why can't I switch over my domain name?

Your domain service provider might deny a transfer request if your domain has only been recently registered for under 60 days. If you have recently changed your domain service provider may also deny this request if you have changed your provider multiple times within the last 60 days.
